Form meets Function! Fabulous and Fun, Functional Art!
Ever considered the beauty of your cereal bowl?  Thought about the thought that went into that woven place mat or floor cloth?  Children will spend time exploring the “everyday art” that surrounds them and then try their hand at creating their own functional art pieces.

January 31- February 17
Mystery Box!
Roll up your sleeve and reach into the Wintergreen Mystery Box.  YOu never know what you will find or do but it will be guaranteed fun and a surprise every day!  Mysterious possibilities may include: Macrame…. box art…encaustic techniques…. performance art and much, much more.

General Information:

Registrations for all programs will be taken at the William V. Haskell Community Center, Monday-Friday from 8-5pm.
Registration for Session I begins December 12, 2011
Session II begins February 7, 2012
Session III begins April 3, 2012

This after-school arts program held at Wintergreen Art Center is for grades 1-6.  Once there, children will receive homework help, enjoy healthy snacks, create self directed studio projects,participate in reading time, and explore the arts and cultures of the world in a safe and supportive environment.

The cost of the program is $60 per session fro Presque Isle residents with an additional $30 fee for non-residents.

Grades 1-3 meet on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 5:30pm.
Grades 4-6 meet on Wednesday and Friday from 3:00 to 5:30pm.
